The Associate Membership category is open to professionals who meet the following criteria:

• Group A) Professionals in Psychiatry, Psycho-oncology, Psychology, Social Work, or Nursing with less than two years of experience in mental health care in oncology after post-graduation.
• Group B) Postgraduates in Oncology, Palliative Care, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Behavioral Science, or Social Sciences working in the field of oncology for two years
• No voting rights will be granted under the category of Associate Membership

Transition to Active Membership: Group A Associate members become eligible to apply for Active Membership upon completing a postgraduate degree and acquiring 2 years of experience in mental health care in oncology. Group B will not automatically be eligible to transition to apply for active membership as they are not mental health professionals and will remain as Associate members provided they fulfill other criteria for Associate membership.

Kindly provide accurate details to help us verify your eligibility and process your membership application. Regarding outcome of the application for associate membership, the decision of the Execitive committee is final. Please do not pay any associate membership fees to POSI’s bank account till you get a formal email from the Society. Associate members are to pay Rs. 1000 towards the registration and renewal of the membership. We look forward to your valuable contributions to the psycho-oncology community in India.
