The Psycho-oncology Society of India was started in the year 2019. This society is formed with the aim of promoting and strengthening psychosocial services in cancer setting in India. The Society will actively work towards endorsing educational programs, organizing national and international meetings and establishing collaborative networks. The Society will organize national/ international conferences annually. Our mission is to advance understanding, foster compassionate care, and promote mental well-being throughout the cancer journey—from diagnosis through survivorship or end-of-life care. To promote the aspects of psycho-oncology, advocate its significance and prepare academically sound, and socially responsible psychosocial workers, with scientific and professional knowledge to offer quality psychosocial services to patients with cancer in India.
