Guidelines to obtain POSI endorsement for academic events

  1. The organising committee of the event (conference/workshop/webinar) should approach the EC approximately 2-3 months before the event, in writing. They need to write to posi.society@gmail.com with at least the following details: event name, proposed date, location, organising body and draft programme. Further information may be requested by the POSI executive committee.
  2. The organising committee with help of a POSI executive member (or someone deputed by the EC) develop the programme.
  3. The local organisers secure the funding and abide by the law of the land to pay the applicable taxes and meet other statutory obligations.
  4. The local organisers collect the registration fees of individual delegates. They may choose to give a discount to POSI members. This will need to be agreed upon in advance.
  5. The only obligation of POSI would be to provide academic and intellectual support.
  6. The banner, advertisement, certificates and other event-related documents should have the POSI logo after the executive committee of POSI permits the use of this in writing for the specific event. If it is a yearly or rolling event, written permission must be obtained every time the event is organised.
  7. During the promotion of the specific event, POSI social media handles may be tagged.
  8. The organisers should not use the name of POSI to secure funding from any industry partners.
  9. No one should use the POSI logo or the name of the association without written permission from POSI.
